Dormaahene’ proposes decentralising ‘Meko Bono’ festival

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, has suggested the need to rotate the “Meko Bono” festival among the Bono communities to maintain the enthusiasm and interest of the festival.

Meko Bono’ homecoming and festival starts on June 25

The much-anticipated ‘Meko Bono’ homecoming and festival is set to begin on Saturday, June 25, and end on Sunday, July 3 this year at the Jubilee Park in Sunyani.  The event is being organized by the ‘Bonofie’, a local event organization promoting the socio-cultural and economic development of the ‘Bonos’, in collaboration with the Bono Regional House of Chiefs
